Smashaduck, you have to wait, at least, 3 months to hear back from her. Each agent has their own response time in their submission guidelines.

Polite Form - NA Steampunk.

"Thank you for sending this through to us. We wanted to let you know that we greatly appreciated having the opportunity to review your work, but are sorry to say that we do not feel able to offer you representation.

Sometimes we must pass on books, even very good books that we feel are either out of our range or would require an amount of attention we cannot provide at this time. In addition, we can’t afford to take on projects that we’re not absolutely confident we can sell. But we very much hope that you will find an agent with the right enthusiasm for your work.

Many thanks again for considering our agency, and we wish you the best of luck with your writing."

Queried Venom to Mink Choi--one of four new agents at the agency. I've let Patrick know too.

Agency website does not indicate that she's closed to unsolicited queries.

Yesterday I've queried her. Today I've gotten the same rejection mentioned before. No luck with Venom with this agency. Will try Chain Reaction this fall with this agency.

12/5, I queried her for Chain Reaction. Today I've got the same rejection back as the summer. Not a right fit.

Hope this helps anyone interested in querying her...

Dear XXXXX,

I greatly appreciate having been given the opportunity to review your work. Regrettably, I feel we are unable to offer you representation.

Sometimes we must pass on books, even very good books, which are either out of our range or require an amount of attention we feel unable to provide. In addition, we cannot afford to take on projects which we're not absolutely confident we will be able to sell. But we do very much hope that you will find an agent with the right enthusiasm for your work.

Because our staff is small, and the volume of submissions we receive so high, we cannot issue a personal response to every query or submission. But please know that each is reviewed with great attention and care.

Warmly,
Fletcher & Company

I appreciate that it was personalized [I think?]

Dear @@@@,

I greatly appreciate having been given the opportunity to review your work. Regrettably, I feel we are unable to offer you representation at this time. While your subject was interesting and I enjoyed reading your MS, we are currently unable to take on many new projects at this time.

On behalf of the agency, I wish you the best of luck with your writing.

Warmly,

Molly Oswaks

For what it's worth, neither the Fletcher & Co. website or her Publisher's Marketplace listing say "no unsolicited queries" for Christy Fletcher.
