The website says she represents "teen" aka YA but that's not listed in her genres here

On 6/17, I queried Rachel Kent with Chain Reaction. This afternoon, I nudged her and heard back--if no word in a month, it's a pass. Oh well. I'll try Rachel in October with CR.

11/22/16: EQ 10/7/16 (REQUERY VENOM)
ER 11/18/16 (Passed from nudge: it's not what their publishers are seeking for right now.) I'll try Mary with Venom in January 2017.

Not sure if I should resubmit to another agent in this agency or not. I don't see anything on their site that says either way. I'm thinking not, since all e-mails go to the agency as a whole. They probably pass queries around if it fits someone else. Oh well.

Good luck to those still waiting.

YA Mystery with Sci-Fi/Fantasy elements

Thanks for that Nat, really appreciate you letting me know.

Kind of had the feeling that was the case, which is why I think I'll leave submitting because I cannot get all that on one page without being unhappy with what I'm presenting.

I know it is possible and ppl do it all the time, but I also think its a good indicator of who is suited to whom... :)

Raven, when I submitted I included all those elements inside the 1 page limit. I think the marketing piece of it can be just a one to two sentence summary; they'll ask for a more detailed plan if they're interested. Got a partial request a couple months ago so just holding my breath at this point :)

Those of you who have submitted can you please clarify the length of your submission?

It says to send query only no more than one page but also asks for aimed market, writing experience (BIO) unique elements (etc).

Do they mean 1-page QL plus the rest or all up?

Requeried Venom.

8/8/12: Closed/no response after nudge. Will try her in the future and query Mary Keeley next week.

11/12/12: Requeried Rachel with new query for Venom.

Sorry to hear that my friend. She gave me a NR. I might try to query her again this spring for Chain Reaction or requery her Venom. Undecided. Thanks for letting me know.

She read my partial and requested a full. I nudged her 3 1/2 months later and she replied that it was well written and I had done a good job at changing the things she asked me to change, but that the book wasn't a good fit for her. She told me to query other agents and that there is one sure to love it. I think maybe it was too gritty for her. Not sure.

Rnpundel, any word on your new partial? 7/7, I've queried her. Two weeks ago, I nudged. She's closed/no response. I'll try Wendy Lawton next month and will requery her next year.
