Submtted query in October 2016. Literary 80K.

She asked for a Full in Jan 2017. Fingers crossed. I thought I'd let people here know that Ellen does respond, since the messages below indicate otherwise.

Also I need to tell you that while sending the full I sent the wrong version. I only realized this the next day, and shot off an email with apology and the correct version. Nina Cochran gave a nice and reassuring reply that no harm was done and they'd review the new version. So my experience is very positive.

She said she is not accepting anymore new titles. It was kind of her to get back to me so quickly and tell me why ER.

7/5/16 sent a polite email to Nina Cochran, listed as the lit ass't on the website, inquiring about 6/3 submittable query. Mentioned my full is under consideration elsewhere. Preparing for the inevitable resounding silence (or a 'no'!)

7/6/16 Nina Cochran replied with an apology and their standard form letter rejection. Grateful for the quick reply. I'd suggest the other 6/3 outstanding queries also email her directly. Hoping your ms is a better fit for them than mine!

Out of a dozen or so queries sent, a few fulls and mostly crickets, I'm eternally grateful to agencies such as this one that have the resources to respond to our queries! It's a tough business on both sides. Getting an actual answer makes a huge difference.

Sadly, that is probably the case. I was thinking of waiting a bit more, but if you email them, please update us. (And I'll do the same.)

HopefulAuthor, I'm assuming it's a rejection (just somehow that day dropped off their response radar.) I'm thinking a polite followup?

AnselAuthor, I am in that group from 6/3 as well. Very curious about it.

EQ 6/3/16 with auto reply that submission was received.
6/28 no reply? I'm in a group of several others from 6/3 with NR, whereas most others before and after have heard back.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you very much for submitting your project to me for consideration. I am not adding many new titles to my list at present, and thus must respectfully decline.

I wish you the best of luck with your work -

Contemporary Women's Fiction with a multicultural theme - She responded after 8 days and asked for the full manuscript! Fingers crossed!
