EQ: 12/21/17 Memoir (obviously before she closed to queries)
FR: 12/21/17 same day!
Fingers crossed.
6/11/18: Nudged
6/11/18: Laura apologized for the delay and said she would get to the ms soon.

Laury5, if you check her listings under Publisher's Marketplace, she has a number of completed books listed under Rights. I don't see this being done by many other agents.

Full ms. requested and sent 11/22. I nudged 3/22/2018 and she replied that she would get to the ms. Doesn't look like she's reading any of the full subs.

EQ: 1/20, via online form
FR: 1/22. I'm doing the happy dance! :)
1/30: I received other agent feedback and am planning to make some revisions. I let Laura know this and she agreed to wait for my revised draft before reading.

All-- This note is on their website. If you're thinking about querying, do it soon.
"Announcement: Effective, January 31, 2018, Strachan Literary Agency will close to submissions. We currently have a backlog of reading, and it isn't fair to authors to leave them in limbo for such long periods of time. We will reopen to submissions as soon as we've caught up. Thanks for your understanding."

Nice rejection letter. To the point. (Military Memoir)

No confirmation from the agent's web site that submission form was successful. A bit disconcerting. Received a form rejection a few days later. So now I'm sure form submission went through on the online submission system.
When I submit with the outlook.com email address I use only for submissions and related correspondence, I do a BCC to my regular email as a back-up check, and I can also check my sent-mail folder in outlook.com. Guess this doesn't prove the agent actually received it, though.

Ah, you're right. Nothing happened but that's not uncommon. It's more unusual in my experience to hear anything at all.

But what happened immediately after you clicked "submit"? For me, the only thing that happened was that the button disappeared—no thank-you page, nothing to indicate that the form had actually been sent.

She asked for a full manuscript practically in the return email, so that's something of an acknowledgement, I guess!

Did anyone receive a confirmation email after submitting via the form? I didn't get taken to any kind of confirmation page on the site after hitting "submit," so now I'm paranoid it didn't go through.
