Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Query Guidelines

We prefer to receive submissions by email with sample pages attached in .doc or .docx format. Please do not send .pdf files. Nonfiction submissions should include a query letter, a proposal, and a sample chapter. Fiction submissions should include a query letter, a synopsis, and either sample pages or a full manuscript.

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

According to her website bio: Jenni Ferrari-Adler represents the agency’s award-winning food writers and food shops; exciting fiction writers including Mo Daviau,..., and the Estate of Pamela Moore; YA and Middle Grade; Narrative Nonfiction, and other categories.

So I'm going to send an MG manuscript to her!

Solicited me for full via my website after reading some of my work in mid December 2015. Asked her to deconflict because Sally (at the same agency) had my full. They both decided to read it and on 1/7 I received a rejection from Jenni. Don't think we were on the same page about what sort of novel this should be. Seems like a nice person though.

6/1, I've queried her. Today after a two-week nudge, it's closed. She only responds when interested--same for the other agent. Will try both again for CR this summer/fall.

10/13/11, I queried her. Two weeks ago, I nudged her. Now, it's another no response. Will requery her later this year for both mss.

Here is a link to her page on Publishers Marketplace, since she doesn't have a true Web site.

Quick comment for any agent browsing. One of the primary issues with no response has nothing to do with any agent individually - believe me, those of us querying understand being busy. It's that if we, on this side of the equation, are trying to be as professional as possible, we certainly don't want to query someone else at the same agency until we're certain you are not interested. That's all.
