Received a note from her--she is moving to UK--getting married, apparently! She wasn't very clear regarding whether she plans to stay in publishing or not. This is too bad as I found her to be very responsive and helpful--very nice person.

I submitted my query (YA fantasy) on August 5th and received a rejection today. She said that she didn't feel that she was right for the project, but that I'm a strong writer and I should query a different agent in the agency, so she gave me his e-mail.

Here's hoping!

e-queried Lindsay Davis @ Ldavis@writershouse.com 7/5/09.

Rejection 7/8/09: Thank you for your query.

Your book sounds interesting; however, after careful consideration, I just
didn't feel I would be the best fit for this project and so I'm going to have to
decline the invitation to read your work. As you know, these decisions are
highly subjective and another agent may have an entirely different opinion.

Thanks again for thinking of me. I wish you the best of luck in finding a good
home for your writing.

Sincerely,

Lindsay Davis

I equeried her & the next day she reqested the full. A couple weeks later she said she wasn't passionate enough about it to represent it, but she only had good things to say about it. Very nice, professional, and timely.

Rejected the book. However she said it was a very interesting subject and it did take her some time to come to her decision.
