At least she was honest...

Thanks so much for thinking of me. Unfortunately I don't represent fiction, so I must pass.

Thanks again, and all my best,

Received a very kind rejection on a nonfiction proposal which she turned down because she doesn't feel that she can give it her full effort since it is a book on Christianity and she is not a Christian. Her rejection was very encouraging.

Received a personal email 11 days after query requesting a proposal. Very timely and pleasant. I'm thrilled!

The rejection was bad enough, but I found her pitch for the services available at her website for improving my submission skills was insult added to injury. Most unprofessional.

Does anyone know where this agency is located? No address on their website...

Got a complimentary, nice response with helpful comments on my pitch within one week:
Thanks very much for query. It's actually one of the best pitch letters I've received (though I would recommend taking out the second sentence in the third paragraph – that part detracts from how well written the rest of the pitch is) for a novel. Unfortunately our agency does not represent fiction, so I'll have to pass.

From her website:

In terms of acquisitions, Kristina is considering all projects with individuals who have developed a significant platform for themselves. In particular, she is seeking submissions in the areas of spirituality, health and nutrition, self-help/personal growth, parenting, women's issues, celebrity/Hollywood based books with substance, memoir, pets, current affairs, narrative and serious nonfiction and anything that is creative and the first of its kind. Kristina accepts submissions via email, either in query form or with a full competitive proposal.
