Hi chachadigregorio. Mine's been out 18 days. I'm hoping the Rs sent to people who subbed after us mean our queries merited a closer look. I'll definitely wait longer to nudge/resubmit, since less than three weeks is nothing in querying time. The waiting can be brutal, can't it? Good luck!

Hey Wonderview - it's been about 20 days...not sure how long I should wait and it's not always cool to nudge on a cold query. But thank you for responding!

Hi Chacahdigregorio. Based on the QT timeline, and on some comments below, people are getting rejections from Ms. Grimm. However, she seems to be taking longer than usual right now. Maybe she's been on holiday?

It's also possible that your query was lost in cyberspace. How long have you been waiting? You might consider resubmitting.

Does anyone know if a no response is a rejection? I couldn't find the guidance on the Don Congdon website. Thanks!

Thank you for your email query. I appreciate the opportunity to consider GLITCH for possible representation, but I’m afraid I’m not the right agent for it. The concept just didn’t grab me, and you deserve an enthusiastic agent who can champion your work. Of course this is only one response, and tastes vary widely among agents. I wish you the best of luck finding the right home for your work.

Sincerely,

Katie Grimm

6 weeks turnaround on an e-query.

Will not be submitting another query to Ms. Grimm. Her rejection included a claim of having read the first "chapter" in the collection of short stories that I queried.
That "chapter" was in fact a self-contained short story. This shows inattention at best.
