DepartmentStoresForever,
Brendan has left FinePrint and so all of his projects have been handed off to other agents.

Profile Update: No longer working as an agent.

Formerly with FinePrint Literary Management

(Thanks MauiAuthor and MollyZ)

TerryRodgers, I know other agents at FinePrint are taking over his clients, so they are probably handing off his fulls as well.

Received a polite rejection after 4 months the same as AcsaWaters and srm_me below...
"my apologies for the extremely delayed response. I don't think this one is for me but I wish you the very best of luck with it!
Apologies again for the delay. It was not my intent to be rude."

Kudos to those who got request for a full! I'm glad it 's working for someone!

If you go to Publisher's Marketplace and search for top dealmakers in fiction thriller, he is number one in the last 12 months.

I queried him 10/1, He responsed back 10/2 and asked me to pitch it to him like a movie, and 10/4 I sent him the pitch. 10/12 he asked for a full. I sent it the next day, and I havent heard back. Fulls take the longest, so i'm not worried--yet, lol. Sometimes it takes 4 months to hear back. I'll jinx myself saying this, but I have high hopes for him. I really like him as an agent.

Is this an agency that only responds to emails if interested?

Re-queried on January 8th and finally heard back on the 18th. Form rejection.

My dealings with Deneen virtually mirror those of MollyZ. Five months after my query, he asked for the full ms. When I was offered representation by another agency, he asked for more time to read. He missed his own deadline. I then had to pull the plug and I signed on with the other agency. Deneen expressed strong interest in the film rights.
Our communications were cordial, punctuated with humor. I think he has his hands more than full as head of FinePrint's new film & tv unit. His track record for placing books is quite good. He only needs to place more focus on the old adage, "The early bird gets the worm." But I think he has a great future in the business.
