Rejection with invitation to R&R: 2/1/2019
Danielle is quick and thorough. She praised certain aspects but struggled with others, and invited me to resubmit if I make certain changes. They're admittedly large changes regarding framework, but she provided reasoning and it was solid. Also invited me to think of her for future projects, too. Into revisions I go!
Note: I asked her some clarifying questions about her advice. She was more than happy to extrapolate.
R&R Submission: 3/11/19
Rejection: 4/23/19 - Still couldn't get past the pacing but invited me to think of her with future projects.

I did not query Danielle, but I won a bid to have her critique the first ten pages of my manuscript. She is fabulous and I wanted to leave a little bit of information for those who are querying her. Firstly, she is very kind, but not afraid to tell you the truth about your manuscript. If anyone is lucky enough to be represented by her, I suspect she will do for your manuscript what she did for my first 10 pages. Secondly, upon receipt of my submission, she gave me an estimation of when she may have the pages back to me. In an industry with so much waiting and wishing, it's really nice to have an agent be clear and specific. She got my work to me earlier than expected. She's very thorough and it's obvious she knows her stuff. Of course, I can only speak to her professionalism and editorial skills as I've not had the pleasure of working with her as an agent, but she left a great impression on me so I wanted to leave her a review.

Nice rejection :/
Thanks for thinking of me for XXXXXXX. It's a great premise, but I didn't fall in love with the voice as much as I'd hoped I would, so I'm not the perfect fit for this. I hope you find the right match soon!

1/18/19 personal rejection
Thanks for thinking of me for, and for your patience while I reviewed the query and sample pages. It's a compelling premise, but I didn't fall head over heels in love here, so I'm going to step aside on this one. I wish you the best of luck in finding the perfect agent for it soon. Keep writing!

Lovely personal rejection:
"Thanks for reaching out to me about THE BLADE AND THE BOW. Your writing is a lot of fun to read, but I'm not taking on many post-apocalyptic books these days, so I'm not the best fit for this one. I'm glad to hear you have interest from other agents, and I hope you find the perfect match soon. Keep writing!"

I sent her another book, and I got an... interesting rejection: "Thanks for reaching out and for your patience while I read query for ONE NOTE MISSING. I currently have several projects on my list that fulfill a similar need for me, so I'm not the perfect agent for this one. I wish you the best of luck in your search. Keep writing!"

If nothing else, it reads like she actually read what I sent her, so that's a plus.

Query 9/21/18 (Memoir)
Rejection 12/3/18

Very nice rejection (oxymoron?) describing my story as incredible, and saying she's glad I"m telling it. Says nonfiction list is more limited to food-related titles.

Rejected - 12/3/18
It's been so long I'd forgotten I'd sent to her, and I've already moved on from this project, but today I got great feedback from Danielle and it was encouraging enough to want to revitalize this ms!
