Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

On 1/27/16, I requeried Stacia Decker with Venom. Today I've heard back from her with a pass--didn't connect with the premise strongly enough, though it was just a query. Will try her for Chain Reaction's requery in March.

"Thanks so much for giving me a look at this. It has a great opening, with much to admire in the writing, but I'm afraid I don't feel I'm the best agent for it. I'm sure others will feel differently, so I'll step aside with all best wishes for your finding the right advocate elsewhere. Thanks again for the opportunity to consider this, and best wishes for its success."

"Thanks for writing about your novel. This sounds well done, but I'm afraid I didn't connect with the premise strongly enough to feel I'd be the advocate the book deserves. I'll step aside, then, with best wishes for your finding the right match elsewhere. Thanks again for the opportunity to consider this, and best wishes for its success."
