4/18/22 - Query - Memoir
7/7/22 - Full Request
8/16/22 - Offer of Representation
Ms. Thompson and her agency were one of my top choices when I began searching for an agent. I knew it was unlikely that I'd ever hear back from her since the vast majority of her clients are referrals, but I queried her anyway. More than eighty days passed before she responded and asked for my full manuscript. Two weeks later, she opened a dialogue through QueryManager and asked if I'd be willing to work with an editor. Publishing can be a cruel, painful industry for debut writers, but if you love and believe in your work, don't give up.
