Hi betterlate2
I wasn’t referring to this agency when I said be careful, if that’s what you’re worried about.

I was referring to the commenter using one of those agent listing books. They tend to be outdated before they even hit the shelves. And, of course, they can’t be updated once they’re printed. So, be careful because the information they contain is often outdated and no longer correct.

Patrick, can you elaborate on your comment of Oct. 18? Is this a legit agency? Is there some reason to "be careful".

markelliottcreative, Eddie Pietzak left this agency back in 2016. Be careful with those listing books, they tend to be out-dated before they're even printed.

Question, Publishers Marketplace says query with the first 10, however, the website says send a letter and synopsis. Thoughts on which is more accurate? There's also an email listed but a form to fill out too...?

Profile Update: Website is shutdown. Don't know if this means the agency is out of business, or they are just having technical difficulties.

One of the nicest responses yet and very communicative. I wasn't even sure if it was a rejection, lol, but since he didn't offer representation, I had to assume it was. He said he thought my cookbook idea was great, but I don't have enough street cred and he didn't think publishers would be able to get it into bookstores. I responded to his email asking if I could change that with something like a food blog. He answered again, very positively, but also warning me that it could take a long time to get the follower and strength I'd need to attract publisher attention. I appreciated his feedback.
