Happy Thanksgiving to me!
Just spoke to Alice Dill on the phone. She's wonderful. I love her.
Revisions requested 12/6
Revision sent 1/6/14
OFFER OF REP 3/14/14
Offer accepted 3/26/14 This was about the hardest choice I've ever had to make!
I'm pretty much over the moon.
Request was via Alice Dill (New Writing Team). She more properly works under Jonny Geller.Perhaps I should move this over there? Patrick? Thoughts? Or maybe she needs her own heading since she's taking on clients.
Please note, the book agents are no longer accepting paper or email submissions. If you’d like to submit your work to us, go to our www.curtisbrowncreative.co.uk website.

"Thank you for sending me XXX and for giving me the opportunity to consider your work.
You write with real energy and imagination. However, while there was a lot I
enjoyed about your submission, ultimately, I did not feel convinced I could
find a publisher for it and therefore I don't feel able to offer you
representation for this project.
I am sorry not to be writing with better news.
Thank you for sharing your work with me and I wish you every success with
your writing."
I sent my original submission 11/14, so this is actually week 11 for me. I was originally going to send my submission to Jonathan Lloyd (which is why I posted under here) but his bio made it sound like he hardly ever takes on new clients, so I went with the writing team instead.
When in November did you send yours? If you sent it around the same time as mine, maybe I can expect a reply soon...
When did you send your submission? Although they say about getting back within 6 weeks I only just got a reply from them. I sent my submission in November, so it's been over 8 weeks. Also, I read all the profiles of the Agents and sent it to one of those, even though I knew The New Writing Team would likely respond - and they did.
In my opinion no news is good news, and if they're taking longer perhaps they're sharing your work with other agents there? I suppose it depends how long it's been overall to consider whether to nudge them again.
The email that I was sent by an agent I thought was personalised, but I've seen the same email on here posted by others - it's a form, with a rather disingenuous opening line.

Thank you for sending us XXXX and for giving us the opportunity to consider your material.
We really enjoyed reading your sample chapters, which stood out from the many we receive. Ultimately, though, we didn't feel strongly enough about your project to take this further, and therefore we're unable to offer you representation. We would encourage you to continue with this project, and we wish you success with your writing.
With kg, (agent name of new writing team, on behalf of senior agent XX)

Good luck!
I sent my nudge to cbcsubmissions@curtisbrown.co.uk on 1/6...I'm hoping maybe there's a specific email I'm missing.
I nudged on a 8 week old query this week, which had been sent to the New Writing Team through the online form.
I nudged through the cbcsubmissions@curtisbrown.co.uk email address and haven't heard a peep.
