Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Query Guidelines

-Queries should include a 2-4 paragraph pitch -Paste the first 5 pages of your manuscript below your query/pitch.

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

She passed, but she did provide some resources that look promising.

"Thank you for your query. I regret to say, it's not a perfect fit for me. I apologize for not having better feedback for you -- sometimes it’s hard to put to words something that is just a matter of personal taste. I wish you much luck in your journey, and I appreciate you sharing your work with me.

"If you'd like to learn more about publishing as you work toward publication, I highly suggest the following websites: (a group blog featuring agents, editors, sales reps, and authors) (A database of agents) (A discussion board, with a fantastic YA section as well as a "background check" section for agents, and a place to post your query for critique. You must have a thick skin, but it's an excellent resource!)

"If you are writing for kids or teens, you may consider joining SCBWI if you have not already done so. If you are writing romance, please consider RWA if you are not already a member.

Rejected on a full (MG Fantasy) in about 20 days. She said it was great and that one of her readers read it all the way through and loved it, but that she herself tends to lean more toward YA and with very limited MG. Very sweet person. Would have loved to work with her, but alas, I didn't get any sort of valuable feedback. She just didn't click with it. Subjectivity. Congrats on the person who gets to work with such a great agent and all around great person.
