ER Sep 18, 2018. Professional and courteous response. Could not connect with the character, she said. I feel she is a great agent to work with. :)

Guys, she informed me that she is completely full of client's manuscripts and that is why she is not even reading queries. I wonder why she does not close, instead of being open, causing us to waste our time. So, the big thing of full of rejections and CNR is because of that. I hope it may help you.

Should I send a nudge? It looks like most other people have been getting form rejections at least.

It looks like mine might have got lost, based on the fact that other queries sent since have received fast responses. But based on WhidgetBacker's comment, probably best to hold off on nudging until after her wedding and honeymoon ;-)

She replied 4/29 and said... she loved my writing. She read the first 100 pages, but she's about to get married and she is leaving for almost a month for wedding and honeymoon (that's nice!) and won't be able to read until July because she'll be digging out in June. She said if I'm not agented on July 1 to send her the manuscript again (I told her I was making some changes) and she'd love to consider it again... this was a weird one. I logged it as an R&R, but I'm not sure quite what it was.

Literally the fastest rejection I've ever gotten, stating that she has a small list and already has something very similar to what I queried. She wished me luck! Seems sweet.

Form rejection. I'm a little relieved. I'm overhauling the last bit and will not be sending out any more queries until after the holidays. I know it's bad to do this, but I got some good feedback so I'm really working on it. I've only sent the query to two agents so I feel okay about it.
