Hi Patrick:

I believe Ms. Marini has re-opened to queries.

I got the same response you did. on MSWL, it still gives the email address for the agency she was previously with, so it likely just hasn't been updated in a while. Her agency page and the QT main page agree about query and first 10.

I just got an "I will read and respond as soon as possible, usually within six to eight weeks!" auto-response. (around 5pm EST).

What I found difficult is that her agency page, MSWL page, and submissions page on her personal website give conflicting information about which email address to use and number of pages to send. Her MSWL page is outright confusing:

Submissions should be emailed to [agency email address]
If your query is ready, please send the query letter and some sample chapters (chapters 1 -3 or the first 30 pages, whichever you reach first) in the body of the email to [gmail address] and make sure to include the word "query" somewhere in the subject line! And one thing to note: Any queries sent to any other e-mail address or to the physical address will be deleted unread.

...but there are two email addresses given in one place. Which one is right?

I went with the information on her agency webpage (agency email address] and the agency guidelines for pages [10pp embedded].

Has anyone else who’s queried her today gotten the closed to unsolicited manuscripts auto-reply?
