ER 3/20/17 (Passed--not right for her list.) Waiting to hear from Brita on Venom and will try Barbara with Venom later this spring, if Brita passes.

Elite, that's a high word count for a fantasy, unless it's saga. Maybe you need to revise it!

Received a form letter addressed to "undisclosed recipients" as well as a BCC. I understand that these agents are busy, however, I think I prefer no response as opposed to a group rejection.

"Thank you for the opportunity to consider your work, but I am sorry to say that while I like the premise and voice, there's something about this that I'm not quite connecting to. I wish I could offer more in the way of constructive criticism, but it's less that I am finding flaw with this and more that I'm not feeling that swept-away-in-love-feeling I need to in order to justify taking something on. Please remember this is just one agent’s opinion, and given the subjective nature of our jobs, there may well be other agents who feel differently. Thank you for thinking of me, and best of luck to you.

All my best,

Though this is Victoria's thread, I'm responding to the Irene questions. She's very specific in the order. She even states she prefers a particular format. (First, paste in the first ten pages of the manuscript. After that, include the synopsis. And finally, at the bottom, include the query letter.) So, I'd send it to her the way she has requested. (It's only listed under Irene's name.)

Victoria asks for query and 3 chapters or 30 pages.

I was just asking if that specific instruction was only for Irene or for the whole agency.
