Her profile on their website says she specializes in kidlit, so her genre list needs to be updated.

"Thank you for considering The Rights Factory for your representation. This sounds AWESOME! But I’m very behind at the moment, so I’m cc’ing my colleague, Lindsay Legget, here for her interest instead!"

Queried via online form, but directed it towards all agents instead of specifying it was for her.

Rejected: 10/31/16 with a very nice requection "This is a really excellent query, I have to say, but I’m afraid my list is very full at the moment. It’s a pass this time. I’m looking for more magic realism than fantasy these days."
If anyone has any magical realism stories, send them!

Rejected within minutes, says her list is very full. But I appreciate getting a response very much.

Hey all! Would you suggest emailing Ali directly? Saw some confusion about the form...

Did not appreciate that spam email, especially because I'd already unsubscribed from their list after receiving a similar spammy email from Sam a few months back. It seems pretty audacious to send junk out like this to writers they couldn't even be bothered to form reject.

Galen_Marek, I received the same email. However, it did contain an email address different from the one listed on the website, in case anyone is interested in querying. See my comment below. Try instead of, as is listed on their website.

Requested a manuscript two years ago, never got back to me (not even after a nudge & offer of rep), and now I receive Spam email from her promoting a mentorship program that charges fees upward of $1200.00. Wow.

Patrick - I used the online form almost a month ago to query Ali. I see on their website that there is an issue with it and they are asking that queries be sent directly to an agent's email address. i resent my query and sample pages, in case my previous query had not been received and it bounced back, saying there was no one at that email address. Do you have any information on this? I saw no other contact info on the website to make an inquiry.
