EQ 3-11-16 mystery-thriller (did not note that she was not accepting queries...we'll see)
Email is shut down/bounce back, so I guess she's closed to Qs.

You are correct, ekettle, but she is still listed on the Manus & Associates website as a literary agent on sabbatical. So I'll keep her listed her as closed to queries until that changes. Thank you.

Per Publisher's Weekly in 2014, she is no longer an agent. She has been on sabbatical for years and made the transition to author.

I've sent my query out on 10/13, even though they weren't taken any queries, and heard back from them today. They decided they're not the right agents for my work.

Not taking unsolicited queries.

According to their website, this agent is on sabbatical and isn't taking any new clients right now or responding to queries. Their website is one of the best for giving info on submission guidelines and what to expect as an aspiring writer... even if they don't represent you. From their website you can locate another agent based on genre and who's taking on clients.

This agency says they will respond to all queries, but for some reason Jandy Nelson has not responded to me. Oh Well! What's new!

You should put this under Stephanie Lee's profile

Queried Stephanie Lee 2/26/2008. Email query letter only, no attachments, no pages of MS. Now comes the waiting part.

Hi Patrick, and thanks for the tip. Actually, did submit to Ms. Lee, just kept the record here as I didn't see a specific page for her. No luck. Today received a very polite form rejection. Three days. Not too bad. Had some hope of at least sending a partial. Maybe next time. I've reworked my query so many times I don't know what else to do with it. I must not have that big hook you need to grab them by the ear. Ugghhhh...
