Form rejection, YA Fantasy, 79,000 words

Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to read your submission.

Unfortunately, after careful review, I have decided to pass on this project. Please remember that this industry is incredibly subjective, and there are many agencies with many different interests. It is for this reason that I strongly encourage you to keep submitting elsewhere in the hopes of finding an agent who will be an enthusiastic champion for you and your work.

I wish you all the best of luck and success with your writing career.

Best,

I got a rejection and though the email was partially word for word just like another rejection I've received, I did notice that she said that she carefully considered my work. Considering the fact that it took 49 days before she sent the rejection, I completely believe her. It was a rejection, but it was nice. I'm glad I sent my work to her even though it didn't work out.

I tried to reach the Bradford Lit site through Google and kept getting an online pharmacy scam site when I clicked on the links. Has anyone else had trouble? Were they hacked?

Okay, followed link from Laura Bradford's Twitter account and got to the site.

@Reyes I totally agree, hopefully we find our way out of the slush one day :)

@reyes I presume it's because she's requested the manuscript and sat on it. I don't think any agent dislikes it IF its significantly improved. Even better if the revision already has an offer behind it. The reality is simple. A lot of us end up in a massive slush pile, hoping and waiting to make it out. It's hard to do, so whatever you can do to increase your chances, DO IT.
