If I'm being honest, the website and form felt a little dusty and old- I queried anyway, but I wouldn't it be easier and better for submissions to be made through QM?

Alice Tasman's focus is literary and commercial fiction, and she is always on the lookout for debut writers. She is especially interested in novels—whether adult, young adult, or middle grade—that combine excellent writing, voice, and characters with a great plot. She is also drawn to smart, off-beat non-fiction, particularly works of narrative non-fiction on biography, music, or pop-culture.

Definitely hacked. They found an email from when I queried her in 2017 and replied to it with that attachment. My agent emailed her to make her aware of the problem, but beware! Don't open strange attachments. In the same way that agents don't accept attachments in their emails, they will never send one out without prior communication.

She's been hacked, and like a fool, I opened the "request." Strange that she really hasn't responded at all to anyone in a dog's age, and now I guess writers are getting this phishing email. Sad on many counts.

Considering she doesn't usually reply, I'm calling this a CNR.
