Confused - she's not listed on their website. Is she gone?

4/1/13 Form Query to Drea Cohane. Didn't see this gals name, sooo.
Received:

Due to travel plans abroad, I will be out of the office from March 9th thru April 19th. As I may not always be guaranteed a reliable internet connection, there may be a bit of a delay in response time. I will do my best to get back to you in a timely fashion.

Best,

Drea.

Queried on their website last night and got a partial request the next day.

Thank you for considering The Rights Factory for your representation. Sounds crazy! Please send along the first three chapters via email attachment as a Word file.

My Very Best,

Ali

I had to stop and read the first two lines twice. lol I thought it was a new way of rejection and then I finished the last sentence. And I just noticed that it was Ali McDonald that answered my query...

What happened to Meaghan McIsaac? She used to have a profile here and now it seems to be gone... ???

I'll follow your lead, Professor, and send my query.

A 'Hail Mary'? Or maybe a 'WTH'. I hope not. *sigh*

I sent mine to Meaghan McIsaac. She isn't listed at TRF on QT but the website says she likes Fantasy.

Less than 24 later, request for a full. Sent today. Still not sure who Haskell Nussbaum is or how he fits into the agency. Anyone with any information?

24 hours from on-line form to response wanting to see a chapter. Not sure who from as the name on the request isn't listed at the site.

EQ- 2/26
Request for Full- 2/26

Alisha is on maternity leave, but I got a response from Sam Hiyate (the pres. of the agency, I believe). He asked me to send him my ms (electronically). They are actively looking for commercial women's fiction.

i wouldn't see why they wouldn't take you on...most of the canadian agents sell to us pub houses, and its all the english language lol. Can't hurt to try, unless the agency site says we only rep (Canadian, british, etc authors)

I have a question: I have noticed that there are many agents in Canada. Is it unheard of to query an agent in Canada if you reside in the U.S. This is probably a stupid question, but I was just wondering because I am fairly new at this.
