Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Elizabeth Winick Rubinstein is currently judging a women's fiction contest on Writer's Digest. Free to enter, and the prize includes a critique of the first 10 pages of your novel. Worth entering, I think. Submissions close Feb 9, 2016.

JulieGS: I had a full request from her back in 2013. It took a long time before I heard anything back. It may have been a special case as she had passed the MS on to Shira Hoffman (who ultimately declined), but it was 11 months between the full request and the eventual rejection.

I do recall nudging at least once to check on its progress, and once to let her know I'd revised based on agent feedback (for which she requested the revised MS). If I were you I'd probably wait 'til the 3-4 month mark and just send a follow up to see how things are going.

Has anybody heard anything back yet?

I had a Full request on 16 June and submitted straight away, but haven't heard back, although on the website it does say "within 8 - 12 weeks" for responses and my Full has been with Ms Rubinstein just over the 8 week mark now.
Good luck to you all!

mvhaywilliams -- I also addressed her as Ms. Rubinstein. I think this is correct. It's not a hyphenated name. Anyway, it worked for me. Good luck!

EQ 7/1/15. I addressed her as "Ms. Rubinstein," not "Ms. Winick Rubinstein." Should I be concerned?

Email query - 12/4/14
Full Request - 5/19/15

Query seems to have been misplaced somehow. Good luck to anyone else with submissions out!
