I’ve reviewed your work with Stephen and I’m sorry to say that we weren’t connecting wholeheartedly with your writing, despite its many charms, so we should step aside. We truly appreciate the look, though, and we wish you nothing but the best of luck with your future endeavors.

Sincerely,
Allie

Hi there! I submitted to Stephen yesterday and got an auto reply saying that he is on paternity leave (congrats to him!). He says that his assistant is taking care of things:
"but my stupendous assistant, Allie Levick (alevick@writershouse.com), is lording over my desk in my absence, so please reach out to her if any emergencies arise, or if you are a wizard who can help infants sleep."

Do you guys think I should email her my query, ask her if I should submit to another agent at Writers House, or just wait out the paternity leave? I imagine he will be bombarded with queries by the time he goes back to work!
