I suggest you avoid this agent. Mr. Zucker signed me to a six month contract in November, telling me my book was going to be a major bestseller. Then he disappeared. To his credit, he originally answered the query in 3 days, then answered the full in two days. He seemed very excited. We talked. We signed. And then I don't know what happened. He stopped answering emails and phone calls. I didn't want to keep wasting time and have the contract automatically extend, so in March, I submitted my letter of termination by email and FedEx. He didn't even respond to that. Not sure what his game is. In May, the contract expires and I start looking again. Six months down the drain. There are similar comments online if you search for them.

Query sent: action/adventure -literary fiction, 110,000 words, NR
Strange guidelines. Wants entire query in one, long email.
I don't think this guy is active. Like some other agents, he only seems to want to look good to his peers publishers and does not care about wasting writers' time.

I noticed in the 'Query Replies' report that he has had 3 full read requests, seven rejections (I guess he rejected some of them twice), and 382 CNR's. So if you don't hear from him, don't be surprised. I CNR'ed him after 1-1/2 months, which was probably 1-1/4 months too long.

In fiction, he had one full read for a historical fiction novel and one for a literary fiction novel. Based on his stats, I don't think he's really looking for unsolicited manuscripts. I'd look elsewhere for representation.

I just emailed him with a very good query letter
