There is a 6/19/2019 tweet from Gina staring that she is closed to queries for the summer. I didn’t see anything regarding that status on the agency website (for Gina specifically).

And yes, their website has been updated recently.

The Talcott Notch website hasn't been updated in years - not sure how accurate "closed for queries" is.

Rejection, but with notes basically they liked the idea and the story, but in their opinion the writing needs more polish.

This agency rejected my book. But, they wrote me a long message on what I could do to improve it. I was very impressed and honored they took the time to write like that.

ER: 12-Jun Rejection on partial with some feedback (from Sara, asst.). Of course I’m disappointed, but grateful for the opportunity, and I appreciate their professionalism.
Also of note: "We have a full complement of writers right now, so we are only taking on projects that require little to no revision..."

If no word in 4 weeks, please email us with a reminder for a status update on your query. It's faster and easier to include the original query with your reminder

Closing this one, no reply to 12 week enquiry about status, shame.

Requested full manuscript very quickly after querying, but then nothing, and didn't respond to a 12-week nudge. Marking closed.

***UPDATE: Tia reached out to me and said that the ms is still under consideration, Gina is just busy. (That was nice.) :) Reopening.

Queried: 3/28/2019
Form Rejection: 4/26/2019

Slightly same as Ford's. Yes, it is tweaked. The reasons are very specific, though, I do believe. As follows:

Dear William Calvert White JR,

Thank you for your query regarding your book "TITLE". I read your letter with interest and certainly thought there was a great deal to recommend the project. Ultimately, though, I'm afraid I have to pass. The work sounded intriguing, but I felt it seemed a bit outside our wheelhouse and so, I wouldn't be the best-suited agent for it. This is no reflection on the quality or potential of the book.

I appreciate you thinking of me with your work, and sincerely wish you every success with this, and all of your writing endeavors.

Gina Panettieri
p.p. Janel Decena

Note the P.P. probably an intern, but refreshing in the way it was presented, nonetheless. Am pleased with this one.

I appreciate the speed! Friendly rejection from Gina; I think it's just a mildly-tweaked form?

"Thank you for your query and for the sample of your novel. I read the materials with interest, and certainly felt the writing was promising, but I'm afraid ultimately I have to pass.
While there is a great deal to recommend the book, I've found that the plot didn't feel as fresh as I would have wanted to compete in a very crowded market.
I'm sorry I can't be of service. I do appreciate you thinking of us and I wish you every success with this book and with all of your writing endeavors."

I have not heard back from anyone, so I assume it's a pass.
