I too would like to know what’s going on with her. I don’t see her on the HG website. Queried her at Writer’s House no response then sent via online form to her at HG on 6/12 and she requested the full manuscript which I sent on 6/15 after she said she really liked the sample pages. I see she has tons of Twitter followers so I’m sure if she made a change there’d be some news. Maybe they just never updated the HG site? The press release said she was bringing many clients with her

Same situation with me too. I initially queried her back in January at WH but never got a response. Then I queried her at HG in June. Still no response. It was for a PB. In other words, you're not alone. I still have hope I will at least get a form rejection so I can have some closure.

@KateKay @khontz333
Same situation here. Queried to WH in January, considered it a CNR. Requeried to her new agency on 5/21, still haven't heard anything. She doesn't update her Twitter so idk if we're in a "maybe" pile or not. Fingers crossed, but more than likely a CNR.

@khontz333, thank you so much for replying! that helps a lot. Sad we couldn't get even a form reject.

@KateKay, I think you and I sent our materials to her on the exact same dates, and have the exact same story! Since so many people on here submitted to her at HG even later than we did and have already gotten accepted or rejected, I'm considering it a CNR for myself.

First Query sent to her at WH- March 8, 2021
Nudge at WH (encouraged from another agent there I pitched to) - April 15th
Second Query sent to her at HG May 21, 2021.

Wondering if I should just consider it a CNR. I was and am so excited to submit materials to her, I'd hate to close out without a reply.

Not sure if I can post the link but one of Brianne's firstclients she signed with Lauren Magaziner she announced her book deal, it says deal was made by Brianne but Alexandra Levick now represents the author

Hopefully the link works. Someone asked Beth Phelan back in February when the information about Brooks happened about when the agent leaves or author changes agencies. A lot of us in the writing FB group I'm in we were under the impression that if you change agents you can request the publisher send the royalties to your new agent. It now makes me wonder about all the writers who have gone through 5 agents. I'm going to ask Jennifer Laughran's Ask Agent tumblr to see if she has a different insight to this and link it here when she responds

@ManderLeigh How do you know most of her clients chose to stay at Writers House?
I always thought it was more customary for clients to switch with the agent.

I submitted a query. I a bit shocked at the rejections because most of her clients chose to stay at Writers House and got changed to agents than go with her so I would assume she would want to get new clients. Is this customary when an agent changes agencies? Do the clients stay at the agency or switch with the agent?
