Submitted pages for critique from Tricia at SCBWI conference but received hasty, one-sentence general answers. Although complementary overall, her comments felt like she skimmed and misread my submission. Another writer from my critique group had a similar experience. In general, we didn't feel what we received was worth the money. However, Tricia was delightful in person - friendly, funny, encouraging, and offering excellent advice. Just wouldn't recommend paying for a conference critique from her.

PB sent on 31 Dec 2015, response today ` mar 2016
I am glad to receive a response and not sure if it is a form rejection but it was nice to think this was just for my MS.

I took a look at your manuscript and while inventive and so enjoyable, it’s not what I’m looking for at the moment.

Good luck as you pursue representation elsewhere.

Full ms sub 5/14 (client referral)
Confirmed receipt the next day, but no word since then, even after a status query a few months later. Going to consider this one closed even though it's on a full, since over a year has passed with no response.

Tricia won my full manuscript through Baker's Dozen 2013. Submitted 12/4 and she confirmed receipt 12/5.
Follow up 1/12/15, she asked for the revised full I had offered.

The saga continues:

- Partial sent (requested from Daisy Carter's pitch contest) 7/3/12
- Full requested/sent 3/1/13
- Revise & Resubmit requested 4/5/13
- Revision sent 6/4/13
- Gentle nudge (with mention in PS of a new completed ms) sent 1/7/14
- Request for full of new ms 1/7/14

Both the R&R and the new full are now in her TBR pile. My takeaway is that if you have something with Tricia, be very patient, and don't give up hope.

She's been really nice and lovely the whole way, and the feedback she gave me on the R&R was spot on.

I would give her another 2 months, since you know she's behind, and then nudge

Is anyone else out there still waiting on a response from a Baker's Dozen contest request? She's had my full for six months now and I'm trying to decide if I should nudge or if this is a normal turn-around time for her. I read below that she was running behind and responses were slow so I don't want to seem impatient if this wait is normal.

Per Ryxander's comment, it looks like her/his partial was requested via a blog contest, not a query.

The Erin Murphy agency is really good about requesting materials off of contests

It looks like the entire agency is not open to unsolicited queries. Do you mind if I ask how you got your query to her?
