About a decade ago I was searching for an agent for my first manuscript. This was back when queries were still mostly by mail. One day, I received a call from Mr. Janklow's office requesting the full manuscript. A very exciting moment for a young writer. The manuscript was ultimately rejected, but I always remembered the experience. Reading the comments here, I see getting a full request is a long shot, but even so, I was curious, so I submitted my most recent horror novel.

on 6/24/2020 I submitted a memoir. It is complete and edited. I attempted to adhere to their submission guidelines. I received a polite form letter rejecting my submission citing that they are too busy to represent me on 7/03/2020.

His secretary forwarded it to Brooks Sherman on the 15th. He rejected within the day.

On Jan. 14 (11 days) got this:
This isn’t a great fit for Luke but he has shared it with his colleague Brooks Sherman.
If Brooks is interested, he’ll be in touch.
We wish you every success.
Best wishes,
