Sorry, do try other agents. Good luck.

Her website also says that "at this time, Faith is looking for only established authors and illustrators with major platforms." So if you're a debut author (like me), then she may not be the match.

On 6/3/09 I sent my first ever query to Faith. She requested my cv, proposal, and full manuscript in less than 4 hours. She patiently "walked" me through getting zipped files through to her correct e-mail address, as well as photos.
On 6/8/09 she responded graciously: I've looked over your material and I don't feel...able to sell. I'm sorry. You have great credentials and a good personal story... I wish you the best... P.S. My advice is not to send photos...You don't want to crash computers!
When I relayed back my disappointment, she advised: "Try other agents. There's nothing scientific about the way agents respond. Good luck."
A classy lady!!

Faith sent an immediate response explaining that while she was very interested in my project she had just signed to represent a very similar book and therefore had to focus her efforts there. She both complimented my approach and writing style and warmly encouraged me to continue pursuing my publication. Too bad I didn't get there first!
