Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

EQ: 2/16
FR: 2/19
ER: 3/28. Nice, personalized rejection with some helpful pointers as below:

"You have a strong plot here, and obviously a solid medical background. Unfortunately I found myself wishing that the characters were a bit more fleshed out, and found that there was a great deal of telling versus showing, as though perhaps to keep the pacing at times we'd just be told what happened rather than seeing it painted out in a scene. And for those reasons, I'm sorry to say that this one is a pass for me.
I wish you all the best success with your search."

Yay! Finally! Good thing you stuck with it. Good luck on the query.

Thanks, worddance. I decided to send her a tweet to explain my concern and find out if I should resend. I hope she doesn't mind.

ETA: She gave the go-ahead to resend, so I just tried my work computer about five minutes ago. No auto-response yet...
ETA: 4.5 hours later and still no auto-response. I've tried sending from my regular email on two computers, one of which is my work computer which is super safe, and also from my work email on my work computer. Zip. I'm getting pretty depressed about this.
ETA: Annnnnnd...she got it. It came through the "catch-all" for some reason and she sent it on to the query box, then let me know on Twitter. **sighofrelief**
