Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Yay! Finally! Good thing you stuck with it. Good luck on the query.

Thanks, worddance. I decided to send her a tweet to explain my concern and find out if I should resend. I hope she doesn't mind.

ETA: She gave the go-ahead to resend, so I just tried my work computer about five minutes ago. No auto-response yet...
ETA: 4.5 hours later and still no auto-response. I've tried sending from my regular email on two computers, one of which is my work computer which is super safe, and also from my work email on my work computer. Zip. I'm getting pretty depressed about this.
ETA: Annnnnnd...she got it. It came through the "catch-all" for some reason and she sent it on to the query box, then let me know on Twitter. **sighofrelief**

I received the same automated response.

I also queried Michelle on 3-6 and haven't heard anything. I'm concerned that since KellyFriedman2013 received an automated response on 3-5, perhaps my query landed in a spam folder.

Em, i queried on 2/16 and haven't received a response either, though I notice she's responded to queries sent after mine. She must the type of agent who doesn't always respond in the order received. Or maybe our queries are sitting in a maybe pile. Or maybe some other reason. If you received the automatic response message, she probably got it. The good news is that we're no where near her average response time for either a rejection or a request, so there's hope. Good luck!
