I first queried Taylor in February. I just got an email saying she passed my submission along to Melanie, who requested the full!! Nice surprise!

It says "Once you submit a query, you will receive an automated response confirming receipt and noting our current turnaround time." But I didn't get an automated response for my query sent a week ago... Anyone else having this issue?

Here's my 85 day (should have been 60 day) CNR self-written rejection letter.

Dear "Author",

I'm afraid that you have received many no's in these 85 days of waiting, so I'm going to give you a few yes's. Yes, your query letter is abysmal. Yes, you completely squandered your chance with this agency that has a "no for one is a no for all" policy by sending your first attempt of said query letter. Yes, I shared your amateur hour query with my colleagues, and we laughed and laughed. Yes, your time would have been better spent doing basically anything else. Yes, this industry is better suited to people who can keep their head up and improve their craft after receiving rejection after rejection, or even worse, silence. I hope these yes's put things in perspective for you. Cheers!

Curious if anyone has heard from Taylor in 2021? It looked like she had always answered queries in the past, but the agency (now?) says that 'no response means no' after 2 months.
