I appreciate the feedback.
In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have submitted to her since she rarely takes on literary spec lit. She seems like a good fit for upmarket, commercial, and commercial genre fiction.
Feedback:
Thank you so much for the opportunity to take a closer look at TITLE. The set-up is engaging but the stakes/character motivation and worldbuilding aren’t coming together as they need to—as I take on speculative rarely, I want to be really in love with a project to represent it effectively, and unfortunately I'm not to that point here.
Thank you again for considering me, and I wish you all the best in finding the right agent and publisher.
