@jaestories Mine should be in there as I queried as soon as she reopened. But I haven't spotted it. Waiting.

@JaeStories: While I'm neither arrogant nor optimistic enough to assume that Q46 ("Sub from a writer I already like for a new book that feels like it was written for me.") is about me, it is worth noting that: a) It's one of the few non-YA requests in #500Queries thus far and b) I received a request from Zats within hours of that comment going up on Twitter. Hey, a fella can dream.

JaeStories,
I think so. I can't be 100% sure, though. The title of my submission was "Superheroes, Inc." and the tweet was: "Q41: Holy proper nouns, Batman! I couldn’t understand this query because too many names and terms were being bandied around. Pass." I found it humorous and probably true, and responded in kind: "I own this. My bad. Back to the drawing board. *laughing emoji*"

I revised my query based on that feedback, and I think it's stronger now. That's the good thing about these tweets. No one knows they're yours unless you 'fess up to them, so you can learn without embarrassment.

Agents are swamped. I get that. But from pitch to rejection, I conceived and birthed a human. Said human was crawling when I finally heard on the manuscript that I'd CNR'd. I feel like that sort of turnabout is...impressive.

YA F 94,000 words, had previously mentioned she'd like to see a revised version of my query after doing the Print Run Query Show.

comments here (and her own admission on Twitter) says she takes a long time to respond to partials and fulls, but that's okay with me. Marathon, not sprint, right? also, her podcast "Printrun" is incredibly informative about the publishing process. Will update if/when I hear anything! Cheers!
