Form rejection on Full around 90 days later:

Thank you very much for sending me **** and thank you for your patience I considered it. I'm sorry about the delay in getting back to you, but as of late I found myself a bit behind in responding to potential clients.

While you are a very good writer and I do think that you have a very good story here, I'm sorry to say that I'm unable to offer you representation at this time. There was obviously enough here to warrant my taking a much closer look, but at the end of the day I wasn't quite as taken with this manuscript as I would have liked, and so I'm afraid that I'm going to have to pass. I must remain extremely careful to only acquire projects about which I am wildly passionate, and thus I feel it is in your best interest that I step aside and allow you to continue your search for representation elsewhere.

Please remember that this is only one opinion in what is a highly subjective business and another agency may very well feel differently. Thank you again for thinking of me, and of Writers House, and the very best of luck to you in your search for the right agent.

Best,

Alec Shane

Said it was something he was definitely interested in, but wasn't "taken with it." So I guess semi-personal.

smbishop--It's a good question. Looking at his stats below he looks like he averages about two/three months for an ER. You're at five. When he wanted something he requested materials within days. Are you sure he got your EQ? I think if it were me, I would withdraw and query another agent. It's a big agency and they don't share submissions. So I think its above board in the ethical department. Whatever you decide, good luck.

hairaplenty - Can I do that and then query another agent from the same agency?

It's been 160 days and I still haven't heard back from Alec Shane. I want to move on already and query another agent in Writers House. But unless he rejects me, I won't be able to do that.
