I have a general question for anyone out there:

When an agency wishes to be informed of either another agent's interest in seeing a partial or full OR an offer of representation.... Is it necessary to give the names of the agents who want to see a partial or full OR make an offer of representation in the letter to those agents in question?

Itsmediane_I, I agree, but sometimes there's nothing more to say than we received a rejection from the agent and the method (mainly a form rejection unless it's a rejection on a full submission, and we hope to get more details about the agent's willingness to give us feedback). It doesn't make much sense to me why some members take the time to leave a comment in here that they simply submitted a query. That doesn't really help anyone!

I love reading new comments because sometimes we learn about the agent (e.g., emails bouncing back, not getting back to us for 6 months, etc.). This helps me to decide whether or not I want to even query the agent. Especially if there are a couple of agents from the same agency from which to choose. The other thing that frustrates me is that some peeps don't even bother to enter the genre and word count of their project in the QT settings -- this type of info interests the rest of us when we view the QT Timeline or Data Explorer. "Not specified" = frustration!

This closed automatically due to profile settings after 4 months, then got an actual, though form, rejection over a month later:

Thank you for querying us regarding your manuscript.

Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we have decided to pass on this
project. Thank you for thinking of 3 Seas Literary Agency for representation.

We wish you all the best in finding a home for your work.
