I have heard nothing but positive things about Lane from his clients. Had a full request same day as query. Now 6 months later and multiple emails asking for a yes or no received no response. Disappointing to get no response to a full but it looks like this is not that uncommon for him.

ER: 5/3/18 - very personalized. Said my manuscript was too short for a single title. Great response time.

FR: 5/02/18 This request made me smile. Asked for the full manuscript and synopsis FIVE hours later. Responded with a ton of enthusiasm and asked which agents had the MS.

Consultation with Mr. Heymont through Manuscript Academy was wonderful! He gave me some valuable advice on genre - Contemporary Fantasy is a more marketable pitch than Urban Fantasy and may explain why I haven't received more requests. Lots of tips for polishing the first 10 pages, story direction, writing style (fortunately he love the voice - the rest is much easier to fix). Project has potential and he had some really helpful advice for breaking into traditional publishing. He's very easy to talk to, funny and engaging. HIs clients are quite lucky and I'd definitely recommend querying when he's open again. Very pleased with the conversation and advice!

Scheduled a 15 minute consultation with him via Manuscript Academy for the first 10 pages of Adult UF (query included). Hoping to get some insight on whether this project is viable for NY publishing and/or how to tweak it to make it viable and more appealing to agents. Especially concerned since adult UF from the latest #Pitmad didn't get nearly as many hits across the board as did YA. Wondering if it's the market. Will report back on how it goes!
