Aevitas is now using a website-based query system and they ask for the first 50 pages copied into the form, but no matter what I do (changing formatting),only about 4 pages is accepted into the form. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there some trick I haven't discovered?

Update: I used a Mac (instead of PC or Chromebook) and it worked fine.

If no reply within 6 weeks, continue with other agents. Requests updates of any offers of representation elsewhere.

What to make of this agent . . . Some authors receive responses the same day, some have silence. Going to go with the 6 weeks suggestion and mark this one CNR. It's only been 4 weeks for me but I'm getting a little tired of this no reply business. The average human only lives about 70 years. I can't keep burning month after month in hope and delay just because agents don't reply. Rejections sting, but at least you know you can move on.

Query + picture book submitted on 5/8/2020. At that time, the confirmation indicated 6 weeks as the average in which to receive a reply. I extended the expected response time due to Covid but still haven't heard anything as of 7/13/20. Went directly to the Aevitas website to see if I could send a follow-up e-mail. Basically ended up re-submitting the PB via Aevitas' submission form and received a slightly modified confirmation screen, indicating if you haven't heard within 6 weeks, it's a pass. Disappointed, but it is what it is.
