I used to be a client. Agent started out editorial and invested in my writing if not difficult to get ahold of (took several weeks to reply to emails), but after selling my debut YA novel, which was the second novel she subbed for me, she sent subs out without reading them & was not upfront about which houses and editors she subbed to. 10 years later and as many subs, I still don't have a second novel published. Agent and I eventually parted ways due to mismanagement of subs and agent's lack of open communication.

FYI Dystel Goderich & Bourret does not allow you to query another agent at the agency after you have been rejected by one of them. A rejection by one is a rejection by all. I recommend waiting to query them until you 100% sure you have a winning query letter and a solid submission and then sending to your top pick, because you only shot with them.
