The message:
"Thank you so much for sending along your work for consideration and for your patience as I've worked my way through my insane inbox. My clients have kept me quite busy this year, so I wasn't able to spend as much time in my inbox as I would have liked and appreciate your understanding. Given my current workload, I've had to be even more selective about the projects I take on and I'm sorry to say this wasn't a match. I enjoyed the read and I wish you all the best with this manuscript as you move forward with it or others. Much of this boils down to personal preference, so what doesn't work for me may work for someone else! I firmly believe that authors deserve to have an agent who is passionate about their work, and I'm afraid I'm not that agent for this particular project. I encourage you to keep querying and keep writing. Best wishes in finding the perfect agent and good luck in your future writing endeavors."
I guess it's nice for her to give authors closure. But I expect, after so long, so many people have moved on to new manuscripts. Does she think 16 months later that I'm still waiting for the rejection? I discarded this as a CNR an entire year ago. And to send out a form reject on top of it, after making people wait THIS LONG? I'm not sure what the point is. It feels a bit like a smack to the face.

83k YA Paranormal Romance
ER: 3/14/2020
Finally got a response a couple days ago (form letter I think):
"Thanks so much for thinking of BookEnds and giving me the chance to review your work! Unfortunately, after reading your letter, I just didn't feel strongly enough to request pages. I'm of the belief that authors deserve an agent who will be passionate about the projects they represent, and I didn't connect as much as I'd hoped.
Please know that every agent feels differently, and this is merely my personal preference. I encourage you to keep querying as what doesn't fit for one agent is perfect for another. I wish you all the best in finding the perfect agent and good luck in your future writing endeavors."

5-30-19: Full Request!
YA Fantasy Retelling 86k
Well it's been like 8 months since she requested my full and the agency website says they try to respond to requests within 12weeks (but that sometimes they fall behind.) But 8 months seems like maybe it's a no response=no, I guess. I'm closing it out since I have a new project I'm starting to query.
CNR 11/8/19
ER 12/9/19 Form rejection. Must be a crazy backlog she's working through!
CNR: 11/29/19
She seems pretty attentive to queries, so I wonder if mine got lost in the shuffle. Either way, I'm closing this one out at 119 days.
Update: Form rejection on 12/2
This is from her Twitter by the way, so it seems like she intends to answer to everyone...
"IMPORTANT: I am closing to queries on 11/1 through the end of the year so you have 2 weeks to query me!
Note- everyone in my inbox will get a response (queries or otherwise) so closing doesn’t mean you won’t hear back! I will reopen in the new year"
