Ms. Barba sent me a full request in November 2016. She did not respond to three different “nudges” after 4, 5, and 6 months so I closed it out. Tonight, 14 months later, I received a form rejection. During the Super Bowl. Sometimes you just have to laugh at the absurdity of this whole process.

Thanks for your comment, Jenn. I've also had a full out to her since November. I sent a follow-up after about six months and also heard nothing. She was very responsive before, but I know she received a lot of pitches at the SCBWI conference last fall and attended another conference last April, so I have a feeling she might have a couple more fulls on her desk besides ours. I'm going to wait until she opens for queries again and if I still haven't heard anything, send another follow-up. For requested material I would expect some kind of response, even if it's just a form reply.

AutumnLeaf--I've had a full out to her since November. I waited the appropriate 4 months per agency website guidelines and sent three follow-up emails, all a week apart. I heard nothing. I gave up.

7/31/2015: partial request from New Agent contest
8/17/2015: upgrade to full
1/27/2016: rejection of full because novel wasn't good fit. Not sure if this was a form letter or if it was personalized as it was fairly generic and very short.
YA contemporary fantasy

Overall, agent is professional in the interactions. I would have liked more info on a pass on a full, but I didn't have much hope as she doesn't rep my genre and I was shocked to get a request from her in the first place
