Rejection reply 23/03/22 saying "Thanks for writing to us, but the Ahearn Agency is not taking submissions from new authors for the forseeable future."
Partial request 11/8/2021 (1st 50 pages & synopsis)
ER: 9/10/21
Single line rejection after nudge.
Form Letter "...hurricane IDA...not accepting new submissions." received 8/31/21
1 - my query was sent 2 months prior to IDA being on any radar
2 - I did not send a submission; I queried a novel.
3 - Does this mean my query was rejected or did she just clear out her in box? Should I resubmit after their power and internet are restored?
4 - 10 points to her for an original form letter!
I really don't know whether to leave this query open or close it.
ER: 1 September, 2021
Form rejection saying they're not taking on new clients due to Hurricane Ida.
Adult 83k LitFic
And received a partial request on 7/16/21
Then a decline for further material on 8/6/21
I wanted to post my experience because I considered not submitting due to other comments on QueryTracker. Pam was very direct, but her feedback was similar to other agents who rejected partials or fulls, plus she pointed out a sentence level error I was making that no one else had, that became very obvious once she did, and was very useful. I don't mean to invalidate other authors' experiences, and am grateful for those posts so if it happens to other people they know it isn't just them, and that sounds like an awful experience. But, I'd also encourage authors to query this agent if they think she might be a good fit. I'll be querying her in the future.

PR 50 pages and synopsis on 5/17 (38 Days)
Hope to not get a mean rejection as others have here.
Will update after response
Rejection received today. Very thoughtful and descriptive feedback why it didn't work, praising what she liked. She doesn't mince words, but she wasn't insulting. rejection 6/23
4/30/21: received request for 50 pages and synopsis
6/1/21: Ms. Ahearn passed on my debut mystery, but she sent a very thoughtful, professional letter explaining why. Her comments were astute, detailed (too many POVs, etc.) and blunt. I would have loved to work with her.
