Form letter rejection with an interesting sentence in the middle:
"I wasn't hanging on wanting to see what happened, it didn't have me sitting on the edge of my seat, and it didn't interest me or excite me."

Jeanimal - thank you. I jumped the gun last night and sent two since I couldn't find the guidelines. Where did you find them?

EQ 2019-03-03 via online form. I sent two chapters instead of one because I, too, was confused about what he was looking for and all the agents ask for different things at Curtis Brown. Numbers varied from 10 pages to 50 pages. Two chapters is 29 pages for me and ends at a good cutoff point, so it seemed like the best bet. I'll let folks know if I find out whether or not this was a good call.

@Laura_WA - for fiction, send the first chapter.
