Email Query sent 7/16 to Sabhbh Curran but she doesn't have a page on here, so I'm using Karolina's as a way to remember this one.

Hi @katedmg - it is really confusing isn't it. She does have a profile though:
She describes it as a boutique agency within a bigger agency and you have to email your submission directly to her.
Good luck - I've been waiting to hear on a full ms request they've had since October!

I don't see this agent listed on the agency's website - there seem to be a few other discrepancies in the list of agents between here and their site -

Literary/upmarket fiction. Request from Karolina's assistant, Caitlin, for full manuscript 6 weeks after initial email query. I nudged 2 months later to see how they were getting on with it and to let them know I'd revised the manuscript in the interim, based on feedback from other agents, if they wanted to see that instead. Caitlin responded 5 weeks later saying, in more delicate terms than this, that the (original) manuscript didn't really live up to its promise – which, in hindsight, was true. She said that the writing showed a lot of promise and so they'd be happy to read a revised manuscript. By that point I'd signed with another agent, but overall I had a very positive experience and am sure Karolina and Caitlin would be great to work with.

Thanks pwalford. That's possible. She was listed on their submission page, and is even still an option on the form itself, but perhaps she decided not to use the form anymore? I have an email out to her for clarification.

Patrick - I encountered this last year when figuring out who to query at CB UK. Only a handful of their agents actually seem to use the submissions portal, with the rest just having a submissions/office email on their profile on the top level domain.

Thanks pwalford. She was removed from their website at But you're right, she is still showing on I'll have to dig in to find out what is going on.

I still see her on the CB UK website. She's actually just advertised for a new assistant at CB on Twitter.

hi, on her agency page it just says "For submissions, please send your work and a biographical note to etc", does that mean she wants the whole manuscript or is everyone still sending just 3 chapter samples?

@geminikiwi I finally gave up and resubmitted via the form... I reckon the odds are low anyway so might as well try my luck. Hope you're getting results!

@valerieoriordan thanks, good to know! I'm wondering if we ought to resubmit via the online form again just to be sure? Or would that be a repeat query...

@geminikiwi Yeah, I did - her profile suggested that was the way to do it, but then the rest of the site has the online form, so I don't know if mine's gone AWOL. (It's been a month,)

anyone else submitted an email query instead of through the online form?

Submitted fantasy/crime June 2020, nudged in September. Rejection from 'Joanna' said they enjoyed it but Karolina was not the right agent for it.
