3/15/18 EQ 71,000 word crime fiction
4/18/18: CNR - I forgot to include the requested pages on this one, so I'm not surprised. He'll be at the Pennwriters Conference next month, so I may approach him there if I can work up the courage.
5/15/18 - Got a semi-personalized rejection - "Sorry it took me so long to respond to your query, but..."
5/17/18 Met him at a conference, and he requested a partial

Uh I don't think I ever commented but this might prove useful to someone.

8/19/17 - Pitched 125k word high fantasy at a conference, got a 50 page request.
10/10/17 - Finally sent requested pages.
5/17/18 - Having long written this off as a CNR, I got an email stating that he was uploading my requested pages to Query Manager and I'd be getting an email from them as well. Looks like he's still going through his backlog.

Looks like he is working through his backlog! Got a very nice R that it is too similar to something already on his list and encouraging me to submit again in the future.

Originally EQ on 9/8/17 to his personal email at his request, due to a prior full submission that he passed on. No confirmation. Emailed him 12/14/17 polite inquiry as to status and he said he was starting to get to his backlog in December as its a slow month. Doesn't look like that happened.

I wrote on 8/15/2017-- I submitted 50 pages on 3/31 per his request, and back then his web site said "Paul is currently reviewing 50-page partials received on December 4th". It's been 4.5 months, and his web site says the same thing. It seems that he's not even reading the partials.

I wrote on 10/23/2017 -- OK, his web site still said, "Paul is currently reviewing 50-page partials received on December 4th." Now I'm sure he's not reading the partials. I think he'll only read it if you inform him that you have an offer of representation. That's kinda annoying, because with him holding your manuscript, you can't query anyone else in the agency.
