CNR 1/24/17 (No word from nudge.) Will try Maria with DI in two weeks.
Update: 6/20/17 (Passed-not a good fit.) I'll retry Maria with DI later this summer, since Elizabeth's closed for submissions for good now.

Anyone know if Ms. Copps/assistant always confirm receipt of manuscript? I see below that they confirmed with at least a couple people. I sent a PR quite a while ago, but never got confirmation they received it and didn't get a reply to the nudge I sent at the 4 mo mark.

She announced on Twitter today that she's closing to queries for the foreseeable future. I wish she'd given more of a warning, she was on my query list!

11/09 Confirmation from assistant that partial was received (The confirmation assuages my anxiety. Very helpful. Sometimes you can't help but worry that the submission got lost!)

10/19/16: Partial request
1/13/17: Kind pass with little feedback. Enjoyed the humor and liked the quirky trolls, but "ultimately we were unable to immerse ourselves as fully in the storytelling as we needed to in order to move forward." Which is fair enough. I'll keep looking for someone to fall in love with it.

5/21/16: FR in person, pitched at a conference. 86k romantic suspense.
10/17/16: Full sent. Received a quick note within a few minutes to say she received my submission and she's excited to dive into my pages.
10/25/16: Nudge with offer of rep
11/2/16: Revise & resubmit offered. She gave me some very thoughtful feedback on my MS and invited me to resubmit if I revised certain parts. Since I have other offers of rep on the table, I'm going to pass, but she's one I would have loved to have worked with! Her comments were right on track with what I'd heard from other agents, and she was nothing but kind and professional. Highly recommend!

I had actually already marked this one as CNR. The form rejection was courteous but read strangely, as if written by someone for whom English was a second language. "Many thanks for the arrival of your letter... Unfortunately, we must report that..." Definitely one of the stranger form rejections I've encountered.

At least this agency is trying hard to make sure they respond to all queries (even if the rejection comes twice!) ANY response is better than none at all.

EQ: 7/6 MG SFF I just found this online. (date unknown): " I am currently not accepting any science fiction, fantasy or children’s picture books."
Suppose I should close this one out.
