EQ: 2/17/16 (Queried Michelle Johnson, but all responses were from Amanda)
FR and Sent: 2/18/16
R&R Request: 3/4/16
Revised manuscript sent: 7/14/16
8/25/16 - MS was chosen for Pitch Wars. Emailed that I will be revising. She's agreed to wait and is "excited" to see revised version.
11/14/16 - Pitch Wars version sent
12/2/16 - Offer of Representation!

I ended up with multiple offers & went with another agent, but Amanda is a great agent and it was a tough choice.

11/11 Upgraded to a full (Email was very friendly)
11/14 ER with a personal email saying what she loved but that she didn't connect enough to take it on. Super nice and helpful. Very friendly and fast.

Interesting coincidence? After 5 weeks, I haven't heard back from Ms. Jain, but I received a phone call and an email from a web designer whose surname is also Jain, offering me her services. Sigh.

I agree edwinswan. I don't even mind a form rejection as long as it's polite and within a reasonable time frame. I hate the CNRs.

Polite rejection in a reasonable 16 days. Despite the rejection, this is the kind of courtesy I would hope have in an agent who would represent me.

Hadn't queried in a year, having more or less given up on my first book and working on a second. Queried Amanda Jain on a whim on Friday and got a request for a full manuscript in under 20 minutes. This has happened often enough that I'm not excited, but it's still better than a rejection.
