Best rejection ever, because even a little personalization is so helpful if it happens to dovetail with the growing theory I had as to why my manuscript has yet to get picked up. 80 plus rejections, some full requests but only "not in love with the pages" or "not a fit for my list" until now. Will be forever grateful that the Genevieve/Amy team told me in general terms why it didn't work for them. It's knowledge I will take into the next project.

It's been a while since I queried, but I'm wondering if anyone else also has this experience atm — several agents who jumped over themselves to review my last mss, even the arguably bad ones, are either CNRs or ghosting entirely. I used to have responses the same week...I last queried I think 3 years ago. Anyone else also experiencing this? I assume everyone's now too busy ...?

Got a full request last April and just received a pass today—it's been nearly a year (344 days) but Genevieve had lovely feedback, both positive thoughts and constructive critique. So it was worth the wait, especially when so many passes these days come as forms or ghosts/CNRs!
