Immediate rejection. So much for "we review everything carefully." I do appreciate a response though.

@katesheltonauthor - I had the same experience. I made a note in my submission about the website error.

Has anyone noticed that it asks for the first 50 pages but the box does not allow for enough characters to actually include 50 page?

Marshall represents a range of fiction and nonfiction. She is most interested in books you would recommend to your friends in a hot minute: literary fiction, commercial fiction, crime, thrillers, style, pop culture, and compelling narrative nonfiction.

Form query: February 4, 2020
Nudge with offer of rep: March 18, 2020
I wasn't sure where or how to send the nudge with offer of rep. All I could find was the query contact form again, so I used that and put "OFFER OF REP" in my bio field. I don't have faith that she'll see this in time because of the onslaught of queries that she likely receives daily.

EDIT: 5 minutes later - I was totally wrong! Jen was super fast to get back to me and let me know that she's not taking on any new fiction clients right now. She was very kind and wished me the best of luck with my offer.

When agents just list "Children's" as one of their genres, it makes me wonder how tuned into the age ranges they are. PB only? or PB all the way to YA?
