Does anyone know if their form is working now? It seems every form query is a CNR.

Personal rejection with helpful comments. Serene is enthusiastic and supportive. I'm now realizing I sent my manuscript out too early!

Serene ultimately passed on my manuscript after an R&R this summer--she loved it but ended up not being able to get her boss' approval to take it on, since she's a new agent. But we communicated a lot via email and she gave me some really wonderful feedback and encouragement in the meantime, and said she was willing to look at it again should I ever revise again in the future. I highly recommend her to querying writers!
Early Oct 2016 Update! After doing an R&R for an editor at a medium-sized publishing company, I checked with Serene on whether she'd be willing to read the new draft (which was about 20% new plot and 40% new prose), and she said yes and is now reading the full.
Oct 24 2016 update: I got an offer from another agent just a little bit after I sent Serene the full. Serene finished reading and gave me a lot of really good notes, but ended up not offering for subjective reasons. I signed with the original offering agent but do highly recommend Serene; she's been responsive, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable in all our communications.

ER 11/1/16 (Passed from nudge--not a right fit.) I'll try Anjali with Chain Reaction next month. Good luck FirePhoenix!
